A performance by Tita Maravilha that lays bare the political weight of cleaning. Who are those tasked with erasing the traces of power? Who removes the spilled blood and bears, without choice, the world's dirt? Through everyday gestures and radical actions, the piece transforms cleaning into an act of resistance and protest, exposing the hidden layers of exploitation and exclusion. On stage, the dirt doesn’t vanish—it reveals. Watch here: https://www.rtp.pt/play/palco/
In "Ocupação", a blank space becomes the starting point for creation, encounter, and reinvention. In each episode, Portuguese performing artists—across music, dance, and theater—are challenged to occupy, freely and without constraints, an empty, symbolic territory. From this fertile ground emerge the voices of Máximo, Tita Maravilha, Piny, MXGPU, Carolina Amaral, Catarina e Tiago, Capicua, Joãozinho da Costa, and Ana Lacerda—creators who come together in a celebration of artistic and human diversity.
More than a program, “Ocupação” is a manifesto: a living lab where silence gives way to movement, words, and sound. Where the body speaks and space listens. A television project where art becomes a tool for thought—and co-creation an act of resistance and freedom.
