Part of artist Tita Maravilha's desire to think about her practices as a performance artist and thinker of issues related to human rights, to create pedagogical material that can be shared in communities. “Performance kindergarten” is an idea of ​​rethinking teaching and learning methods within the arts, bringing the game of thinking “school” as a proposal that everyone can start, that is, here the material can be tested with artists, but the idea of ​​this pedagogy is that it can work for any interested student, with or without experience in performing arts. And from the autobiographical material and the drives for creation, which can be diverse, transform and project future scenes and scenic perspectives in the community.

The idea is to think about meetings that aim to share action plans for low-budget performative practices and immersion in unconventional formats in art.

 

Failure here will be thought of as pedagogy. Chaos methodologies as a creative power. Not as a method, but as dissident thought that generates creative material. If living off art is success, I'm fucked!

Letting go to re-look, from the inside out and vice versa, at learning the small things and searching for the necessary cry of the tigress, in a possible “performance school”, a concept created to try to encompass the infinite possibilities of moving normative structures.

 

The workshop took place once in 2023 at the invitation of Casa Independente and the Pro.curar.se Program, where the format was four-hour meetings for three days, where I had 7 very different students, and we proposed a final public exhibition that took place between the street and the internal space of Casa Independente.
